Camping in the great outdoors can be lots of fun even if you don’t have a campsite, and you’re not planning on staying overnight. Just the act of setting up a tent or teepee somewhere for your kids to shelter and play in can be the launching off point of some really diverse activities. Backyard camping can often be as fun as destination camping and living room camping can be pretty good too, particularly when it’s time to use the bathroom.

Hammocks are the unsung heroes of the camping experience. A portable hammock in a bag can make anywhere a great destination for kids. Not only do my kids love to lay in a hammock but they really like to use it as a swing especially when I’m taking a nap it.
