Calling all curious explorers – we need you! Let’s Roam is on a mission to break the world record for the largest scavenger hunt the planet has ever seen. We can’t do it without you. For one day and one day only people all over the world will participate in an epic scavenger hunt from their own homes, led by the Let’s Roam app. This is going to be big.

WHEN:  Sunday, May 24

For 24 hours, our “World Record Attempt” scavenger hunt will be available to registrants. The Scavenger Hunt will take approximately 2 hours to complete.

WHERE: Your Home!

This special scavenger hunt will be led by the Let’s Roam app, and can be completed from any home.

THE SCAVENGER HUNT: Since this is a worldwide event, this scavenger hunt will explore global cultures and help you travel the world from your own home. Through this event, we hope to connect people around the globe through the spirit of exploration.

You’ll receive a downloadable certificate recognizing your heroic participation in the “World-Record Attempt” scavenger hunt. If we break the record, the certificate will call you a record breaker!

King Pong

King Pong is a super fun game for 2 or more players. You’ll laugh and laugh and laugh and then do the silent-laughing thing because you’ll be out so of breath. You will need a ping pong ball and some utensils.

  • Each player sets up a goal by placing two utensils parallel to each other at the edge of the table closest to them.
  • A ping pong ball is placed at the middle of the table.
  • The countdown begins, 3, 2, 1 and each player starts blowing trying to get the ping pong ball to roll into someone else’s goal.

Every family can make up their own rules on game play and how to score. Younger kids might have smaller goals to keep it fair. A golf ball can also be used.

Warning: This game results in an unbelievable amount of laughter!

Note: We also mentioned in a previous post that Kitchen Table Tennis is also a ton of fun and works surprisingly well. You can play by regular table tennis rules, but why not get creative and make up your own game! Make a point system based on bounces and returns off light fixtures, cabinets, walls…the variations are endless and your family will end up with a personalized family game you’ll play and laugh about for years to come. New traditions, anyone? 

The best part? Hours after starting the game, when you think your kids are starting to lose interest, put a couple of red cups on the table, introduce a new rule and go back to reading your book.
 
Even your cat will find it hard to resist joining in the fun!
 
Kits are available that include paddles, balls and the adjustable need…everything you need to get started. You may want to buy a couple of extra paddles, though. We have a feeling everyone will want to get in on the game!

Kitchen Table Tennis

Prepare to be amazed!
We at OVH thought this was an obvious idea but would be doomed to failure because of the small surface area. I am happy to report that we were wrong!
 
Sure, you can play by regular table tennis rules, but why not get creative and make up your own game! As the ball inevitably starts bouncing of walls, light fixtures and cabinets you’ll realize the variations are endless. Your family will end up with your own personalized game you’ll play and laugh about for years to come.
